Overview of Therapy Services
Our therapy services are conducted via telehealth on a secure online videoconference platform. Telehealth has become a frontline method to deliver therapy because it helps increase access, decrease inconvenience, and protect privacy. Research has consistently shown it to be as effective and sometimes even preferable to traditional in-person treatment for most people. Due to licensing regulations, you must be in certain states when receiving therapy. Please ask your therapist for more information about geographical restrictions when receiving therapy.
For telehealth, you’ll need a good internet connection, a device with video capability, and a private place to talk. If you have any questions or concerns about telehealth therapy services, please let us know.
Individual Therapy
We offer individual therapy to people ages 13+ using an integrative (ACT, CBT, IPT, DBT, Family Systems, and Multicultural) approach to treat a range of mental and behavioral health issues including depressive, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, trauma, schizophrenia spectrum, and bipolar disorders.
Couples Therapy
Couples experiencing interpersonal, communication, transition, trust, parenting, and related conflict can benefit from couples therapy services. Our integrative approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral, emotion-focused, and Gottman-based principles.
Family Therapy
We help families rebuild their communication skills and deepen connections during and after times of stress, trauma, loss, and transition. We use family systems, multicultural systems, and cognitive-behavioral principles, and we prioritize each family's unique values and traditions.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
There are as many different types of therapy as there are therapists. The best way to figure out what will work best for you and your family is to talk with different providers to find the right fit. Our approach is always to integrate the best science and research with each client’s values and identity to provide collaborative, comprehensive, and culturally informed therapy.

What is "integrative" therapy?
“Integrative” therapy means that principles from several types of therapy are combined to form a flexible, comprehensive, tailored therapy experience. We integrate the following therapies and theories into our practice:
Acceptance & Commitment therapy (ACT) improves quality of life with increased psychological flexibility through six fundamental principles: mindfulness, values, action, perspective, defusion, and acceptance.
Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It includes strategies like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Cognitive Restructuring.
Multicultural Systems theory highlights the psychological impact of each person’s cultural context on their well-being. It targets social and societal dynamics that influence our identity.
Interpersonal therapy (IPT) uses the client-therapist relationship to repair problems with trust, connection, and communication. New skills are then generalized to other social networks.
Family Systems theory focuses on the complex interactions within the family system and each person’s individual contribution to communication and behavioral patterns.
Each of these therapies is supported by decades of scientific research. We will use this research, our clinical expertise, and your preferences to develop a personalized therapy experience for you. This is the formula for “evidence-based” practice.
Who are the therapists?
How much does therapy cost?
50-minute therapy sessions cost between $175-$200 depending on the type of therapy. We are currently out-of-network providers, so you can only use insurance if you have out-of-network benefits. If you choose to use these benefits, we will give you a ‘superbill’ with all the information required to submit a claim to your insurance carrier. It is important to note that we will ask you to commit to 12 weeks of regular weekly therapy initially to ensure the best possible outcomes, which is a significant financial investment. If cost will be a barrier for you, please give us a call to discuss sliding scale and other low cost options.
Note: By law, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your health care will cost. Read more here: Good Faith Estimate.
